Klein Partwitz is an emerging tourist destination in the heart of the Lusatian Lake District. Visitors already can look forward to quite a few attractions there. For instance, the first floating house in the lake district is a maritime holiday home. Immediately adjacent is the future harbour, where a pier is being built from which tours to other lakes can be undertaken.
South of the peninsula lies the idyllic bathing beach. As the shore slopes very gradually into the water, this area is ideal for families with children. The water sports centre is located in the immediate vicinity. It is the new home of the 1st Partwitzer See Sailing Club. Several regattas per year transform Partwitzer See into a great display of sailing boats like pearls on a string.
Klein Partwitz is moreover known for its equestrian sport. The equestrian farm offers charabanc rides and lessons for young riders in addition to being a livery stable. Riding holidays in the summer are particularly popular. Also, the spacious riding hall hosts top-class tournaments every year as well as regular themed farm fêtes for everyone.
Several restaurants around the village and down by the lake offer refreshments, including local Lusatian cuisine that always goes down well. By contrast, guided quad tours are a good way of exploring the Lusatian Lake District for those who prefer more noise and speed. The just over 14 mile (23 km) long tarmacked circular path around the lake makes Klein Partwitz a very popular starting point for exploratory tours into the Lusatian Lake District by bicycle, skates or on foot.
