Hike "In the Foot­steps of Kra­bat"

A mys­ti­cal mill and enchanted leg­ends - on the trail of the Sor­bian myth­i­cal fig­ure Kra­bat and the his­tory of Schwarzkollm
The hike starts and ends at the "Black Mill" in Schwarzkollm. For refresh­ments before­hand or after­wards, there is a restau­rant on the premises called "Haus des Müllers". The hike begins in the direc­tion of Schwarzkollm. Pass­ing the Devil's Stone, also steeped in leg­end, and the vil­lage square with St. Mary's Church, the trail leads out of Schwarzkollm and into nature. Always fol­low­ing the "green dot", you pass three of the four moun­tains that sur­round Schwarzkollm and are depicted in the vil­lage's coat of arms. The Kub­itzberg, the Pet­zer­berg and the Gerichts­berg with shal­low climbs. The trail passes through an exten­sive and enchant­ing pine for­est land­scape. A small part of the trail runs along the road con­nect­ing Schwarzkollm and Neukollm until it crosses the B97. From the south­ern­most point of the trail, the tour leads par­al­lel to the for­mer mine rail­way along the Dubringer Moor back to the Kra­bat Mill. Before return­ing, a short detour leads to the Hei­de­moor, a small part of the Dubringer Moor. For spe­cial nature lovers, there is the pos­si­bil­ity of a stopover at a rus­tic moor foot­bridge off the path. Here you can walk along a small foot­bridge and enjoy the flora and fauna of the moor. On the way, there are always oppor­tu­ni­ties to take a rest along the way.

Tip: If you are look­ing for a sou­venir or a mem­ory, you will cer­tainly find what you are look­ing for at the Hege­wald pot­tery in Schwarzkollm. The ravens typ­i­cal of the pot­tery have become an indi­vid­ual trade­mark and are now known far beyond the bor­ders of Sax­ony.

  S4 Leipzig - Tor­gau -Falken­berg - Elster­w­erda/Biehla - Ruh­land - Schwarzkollm (every 2 hours)
  RE15 Dres­den - Großenhain - Ruh­land -Schwarzkollm (every 2 hours)
  RE7 Dessau - Sen­ften­berg, via Berlin, RB49 from Sen­ften­berg to Ruh­land, then con­tinue with S4 or RE15
• Arrival by car:
  from Berlin via the A113, A13 exit 15-Klet­twitz and fol­low the signs via Sen­ften­berg and Lauta in the direc­tion of Hoy­er­swerda to Schwarzkollm
  from Dres­den via the A4 take exit 83-Herms­dorf, fol­low the B97 towards Hoy­er­swerda and finally take the S198 to Schwarzkollm
• Arrival by bus:
  from Hoy­er­swerda rail­way sta­tion, take bus line 5 (every hour)
